Air Fare aggregator sites:
Web sites like TravelBuddy.com, Kayak.com, Mobissimo.com, Sidestep.com,
Momondo.com,
and Travelgrove.com cull the best prices for airfares, hotels, and rental cars, comparing major online travel agent book-ing-engine sites such as Expedia, Travelocity, and Orbitz. They also look at car-rental, cruise, and airline Web sites, though rarely the sites of smaller budget airlines.
Air Fare auction sites:
The pioneer is Priceline.com as well as LuxuryLink.com, best with a lot of flexibility if you don't care which airline you fly.
Flight on-time records:
Major U.S. Airlines are required to publish in their computer reservation systems a one-digit code for each flight that indicates how often in arrives on time within 15 minutes of schedule.
Code "6" = 60-69% of the time; code "3", 30-39%.
Travel & reservation agents also have this code.
